A quiet solo camping trip in the woods. I focus on setting up a simple camp and preparing a hearty Italian poutine.
True solo camping is rarely about epic challenges or survival drama. It is about the rhythm of arriving, finding a suitable spot, and setting up a shelter that works. This trip into the forest provided exactly what I needed: a windy but peaceful night away from the noise, where the only objective was to rest and enjoy the surroundings.
The highlight of the evening was the outdoor cooking. Preparing a simple meal is a fundamental part of campcraft that brings a different level of satisfaction to the experience. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned camper, mastering these small, repeatable tasks is the key to quiet camping and feeling truly comfortable in the wilderness.
Subscribe for weekly campcraft breakdowns, and let me know in the comments what your go-to meal is when you are out in the woods.
