Very Windy Lakeside Camping | Delicious Campfire Stir-Fry

Camping on Crown land beside a small lake, cooking a delicious stir-fry over an open fire on the beach. The stuff of dreams!

Everything was going beautifully until supper time, when the wind started to pick up. The forecast I'd checked called for winds of 26 km/h, with gusts up to 39 km/h. Out on that exposed beach, we ended up getting winds around 30 km/h, with gusts reaching 60 km/h.

That made for a rather interesting evening! A beautiful lakeside campsite, a good meal cooked over the fire, and a reminder that conditions in the great outdoors don't always follow the forecast.
